Foxtail has replaced 16 windows and a door in our 94-year-old Mediterranean-style house. The quality is excellent, and the installation was very professional. I chose Foxtail because, unlike some of the competition, they install as well as manufacture the windows. I have had problems in the past where an installation contractor and a manufacturer would each blame the other for problems. I had the windows made in mahogany and delivered in advance of installation. I then stained and varnished them for an excellent look. Foxtail even rebuilt a rotted out window frame as part of the installation. This company isn't inexpensive, but it's worth it for the quality. If you want beautiful wood windows instead of the fake-looking vinyl type, this is the place to go.
We had all of our windows replaced with hardware in our old San Francisco house (built before 1900). There were some challenges but the guys handled it with style. It looks great, they did a great job! Can't recommend them enough! The price was right, the workmen polite, on time and more than competent.

Vince helped us choose the right new interior doors and exterior doors to suit our home. Vincent, Patricia, Gonzalo and "the boys" have all been terrific. They restored the original windows in our Victorian when we first moved in over two years ago, and added custom made storm doors and a window that transformed a storage space into a cozy office. But best of all was that last week, when the storm was sending rain water from my upstairs neighbors' siding into our windows, Vincent's team came and climbed a ladder in the pouring rain to erect plastic sheeting to keep our home dry until the weather cleared. Vincent also recommended another contractor who could evaluate my neighbors' siding and make the needed repairs.

The owners of Foxtail Hill Windows and Doors are good people, that's for sure. Vince and his wife were communicative, prompt, and thoughtful. But their employees are GREAT. These are the nicest, most courteous, clean guys you will ever hire. The remembered my name and shook my hand, played with my dog who was eagerly awaiting his new dog door (custom... ooh la la!), and cleaned/ put everything into place when they left. I'm using them again to buy the glass fronts to my new cabinets.
Went on a search to replace a window in my new commercial space that is under construction. Happened upon Foxtail Windows and Doors and asked for a quote. Unfortunately the quote for a custom window was a bit higher than my budget. But the owner Vincent Keehan sprang into action once I told him it was a bit more than I wanted to spend on a rental. He searched his existing stock for a premade window that was very close to my needs for a fantastic price! I couldn't recommend them more. And from the looks of the work in the shop, no scale is too large or small - they do everything! I left very impressed by him and now he has a client for life.

We called Foxtail Hill for an estimate to replace our 4 big windows (over 8' each) in front of our home. Vince came over and looked at the windows and took the drawings that our architect drew. The pricing was very fair. The quality of work was impeccable. The craftsmanship in these windows are great. The installation crew came and covered up what they needed to and cleaned up very well. They were very respectful. The windows did not come painted, they were primed but this is what was said all along and was in the quote. These windows were exactly what we were looking for. Plus the fact that Vince is very nice and Patricia and Gonzalo are super helpful. Foxtail Hill has a great team of people. Vince installed 5 custom, double paned windows for us close to 10 years ago. In the last bout of storms, 3 began to collect moisture between the panes. I called Vince and he came out to check. He said I'll have new windows in 6 days at no charge!! All I had was the receipt from 10 years ago, which he never even asked to see. He does such quality work and stands behind his craftsmanship. I would use him again and couldn't recommend him highly enough.
My husband and I contacted Foxtail Hill when we realized we had to change an old drafty window in what was to become our nursery -- and it was 4 weeks until the baby was due! Vince came out within 24-hours, measured and had a custom wood double-hung window made and installed within 10 days. His crew was extremely professional, friendly, and dedicated to the job. I called them and Vince came out the very next day to look over our leak situation. He and Gonzalo were the 3rd contractors I'd had to look at it and the first to actually put up a ladder and climb up to inspect the damage. The asked for a bucket of water to pour over the suspected leak and then concluded that the damage was roof not window damage. Then they gave me the name of a roofer they trusted to do good work. I've asked them for an estimate on a door replacement since they were so diligent with the leak. I hope their work is as strong as their honesty.
